HostemeBD is committed to ensuring the security and reliability of your data. This Data Backup Policy outlines how backups are created, maintained, and made available for restoration across our shared, reseller, and managed hosting solutions.
2. Backup Schedule
Automated backup routines run on our production servers according to the following schedule:
- Shared & Premium Web Hosting: Weekly automated full account snapshots.
- Reseller & Master Reseller Accounts: Weekly automated server-level backups for all child cPanels.
- VPS Servers: Optional automated snapshot addons available upon request.
3. Data Included in Backups
Standard automated backups include all website files within public_html, MySQL databases, email accounts, forwarders, and cPanel configuration settings.
4. Offsite Storage & Encryption
Backups are stored securely with enterprise AES-256 encryption on dedicated offsite storage nodes isolated from the main production cluster. This ensures protection against hardware failures or local disaster scenarios.
5. Client Responsibilities
While HostemeBD maintains regular automated backups as a courtesy service, all clients are strongly advised to regularly download local backups using the cPanel Backup Wizard before performing major WordPress core updates, plugin updates, or database modifications.
